Feeder Schools

St. Maelruain’s was delighted to welcome the principal of Kingswood Community College – Coláiste Pobaill Coill an Rí. Principal, Deborah Dunne met with Ms Hackett (school principal) before introducing herself and her new school to the pupils of 5th and 6th Class.

St. Maelruain’s National School is fully under the patronage of the Church of Ireland. We have links with The High School, Rathgar and welcome regular visits from principal, Andrew Forrest, to our school assemblies. We encourage our 6th Class pupils to sit the annual scholarship exams for The High School, Rathgar. St. Maelruain’s also makes pupils and parents aware of

  • The Kings’ Hospital, Palmerstown (Under Church of Ireland Patronage)
  • St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Dublin (Under Church of Ireland Patronage)

St. Maelruain’s is currently a feeder school for the following local secondary schools in Tallaght:

  • Kingswood Community College
  • St. Mark’s Community School ( Under Roman Catholic Patronage)
  • Oldbawn Community School (Under Roman Catholic Patronage)

There are currently no secondary schools under the patronage of the Church of Ireland in the Tallaght vicinity. However we encourage visits from principal Andrew Forrest (The High School, Rathgar) to our school as mentioned previously. The High School is under the patronage of the Church of Ireland and is located in Rathgar.
